24 The Lord is my portion or share, says my living being (my inner self); therefore will I hope in Him and wait expectantly for Him.   25 The Lord is good to those who wait hopefully and expectantly for Him, to those who seek Him [inquire of and for Him and require Him by right of necessity and on the authority of God’s word].  26 It is good that one should hope in and wait quietly for the salvation (the safety and ease) of the Lord.  Lamentations 3: 24-26 AMPC

Lord, You are my portion.  You satisfy my soul with Yourself.  With Your goodness and mercy.  Your presence fills the dry and thirsty places in my heart.  You are my portion.  My inheritance.  My destiny and future are in You.  Written by You.  Because You are my everything, I put my hope in You.  Because I know You are good, I look to You.  I look for You with anticipation.  I trust Your heart towards me.  So I look expectantly for You.  I seek You.  I desire to experience You in new ways.  I know You will use life’s challenges to show me new aspects of Your character.  New facets of Your heart of love and grace.

Thank You Lord that I can stand on the authority of Your Word when the enemy seeks to plague me with doubt.  It is my right as your child to use Your Word as firm footing.  To make Your Word the foundation of my life.  I cry out to You when things are rough.  But I do not cry out in despair.  My heart is quieted as I remember who You are.  I call out to You in complete certainty that You will rescue me.  That You are for me.  I reach out for You knowing that You are with me.  Thank You for the assurance I have in You.  That my soul finds rest in You, even as I wait.

Love & Blessings,

Less Trodden
