The heavens declare the glory of God; the skies proclaim the work of his hands.  Psalm 19:1 NIV

Lord I thank You that the heavens show forth Your glory.  I only have to look up to be reminded of how awesome You are.  The sky is your masterpiece.  You hang each cloud in place and determine their journey by the wind’s course.  You paint a new sunset everyday.  Some vibrant, as if on fire with Your power.  Others soft and peaceful, almost blushing as the sun retreats into night.  The sky proclaims the work of Your hands.  Reminds me of the absolute beauty and power that resides in Your hands.  Today I’m thankful that my life rests in those same hands.

I’m filled with awe and gratitude when I think of all You’ve done.   Thank You Lord that there is no challenge in my life that is beyond Your ability to rescue, to restore, to redeem, to make new.  There is no circumstance too far gone that Your arms cannot reach.  There are no wounded places that You can’t heal.  No bruises or scars that You can’t make beautiful again.  Today I’m thankful for everything You’ve done.  But also for the hope I have because of all You can do.  Thank You God that Your plans for me exceed my heart’s ability to dream.  My mind’s ability to imagine.

When everything around me is chaos.  When the world seems dark and unsure.  When my path seems to be crowded with road blocks.  When I am lonely or afraid.  When I feel I’ve lost my way.  Thank You that I can turn my eyes to the sky.  And be reminded of the vastness of who You are.  The Brilliance of Your presence.  That You are everywhere I will ever be.  My heart finds rest as I look to the heavens today, knowing that You are right here, with me.

Love & Blessings,

Less Trodden

  1. Thanks again for this wonderful encouraging word. Read Psalm 19 this morning as part of my devotions. I was greatly blessed by it and thankful to God for who He is especially that He is my Father. Have a wonderful day. God bless you all.
