The Lord helps the fallen and lifts those bent beneath their loads. Psalm 145: 14 NLT
But you, O Lord, are a shield around me; you are my glory, the one who holds my head high. Psalm 3: 3 NLT
So many of us are going through so much right now. We come in contact with people every day and have no idea of what they’re going through. The stress they feel. The depression they’re fighting. The illness of a loved one that has us scared stiff. We see each other but are unaware of the invisible loads we bear.
Thank God that though we may not be able to see each other’s burdens, He sees. He is aware of exactly how much each of us is carrying. He sees what others may not see. And He promises in His Word to help. Sometimes we’re carrying so much that we’re bent over inside. Broken-hearted and wilted. Our inner man no longer stands tall. Sometimes we’re so bogged down with life’s worries that we are physically bent over. Visibly crumbling under the weight of our problems. Heads hung low. Shoulders slumped forward. No light in our eyes.
When we find ourselves in such a state, we must know and believe that God will help us. When the enemy tries to get in one more kick while we’re down, may we know that God is our shield. That He throws Himself over us in love and protection. As we trust in Him, His peace overshadows every doubt and fear. He lifts our heads to keep our eyes on Him. He strengthens us with His love and calls us onward. The only way to get through this tough season is to let God lift our heads and help us up so we can keep going.
Love & Blessings,
